Who We Are
We are fellow travelers on the journey of faith. Like those who first journeyed from the Clemson, South Carolina area in 1819 to settle on the banks of the Black Warrior River and establish a place of worship, we too have been drawn from many places at many times to be a part of this family of faith.
Some are 5th and 6th generation while others have newly arrived. We are a full range of ages and households, very much like a large extended family. Students studying at the University of Alabama, Shelton State, and Stillman College enrich our worship and allow us to journey with them in their spiritual development.
The 1100 members find the church large enough to embark on wonderful programs for families and all age groups, including an active world and local missions program while being small enough for intimate groupings for fun, fellowship, study, and service. We love our downtown location, which is central to all neighborhoods and provides a wonderful, safe place to gather.
Tuscaloosa is a growing, thriving, and exciting place to live. It is a college town with much to offer by way of athletics, the arts, and a variety of other activities; but Tuscaloosa is also much more. It is home and we seek to serve from the very heart of the city in the name of Jesus Christ. Come travel with us!
