1st through 5th graders are invited to learn the fundamentals of the

Sacrament of Communion, and then help lead worship

after dinner in the sanctuary.


Thursday, March 28th from 4:00pm-7:00pm

Costume Room, Room 205, Dining Room, and the Sanctuary.


Neighborhood pick-up is available.


Parent sign-out will be in the dining room at 6pm

(in time for Maundy Thursday Worship).

MEET OUR NURSERY COORDINATOR

Latoyra Wells has lived in Coker with her husband and four girls for 9 years.  She has eight years of experience in Early Child Development. Latoyra attended Bevill State Community College and University of West Alabama. She teaches preschool at Westwood Elementary and has served in her church's children's ministry for three years.  During her free time, Latoyra enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach and taking pictures. She looks forward to working with you and your family in providing a safe and welcoming childcare environment at FPC.

    We meet at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings (9 a.m. in the summer). Sunday school classes are taught year round for all of our children. See more details

    • PreK - 1st Grade meet in Room 209
    • 2nd - 5th Grades meet in Room 205
  • acolytes

    Acolytes are 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th graders who serve as worship leaders by bringing the "light of Christ" into the 11:00 a.m. worship service. For more information, please contact Emily Frandsen at efrandsen@fpctusc.org or read our Acolyte Handbook.

  • logos

    Logos is a mid-week ministry for children in first through fifth grades. The church bus brings children to the church immediately after school for snack, play, bible & music learning. Dinner is included for 1st through 5th graders. To ensure that this program runs smoothly, parents are expected to volunteer at least 4 hours per semester. 

  • scouts

    The Girl Scout Troops meet from 6-7 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month in Room 209 (Elementary Sunday School room). All girls age 1st through 5th grade are invited to join! Contact Troop Leader: Jeana Yates (contact the church office if you need Jeana's contact info).


    The Boy Scout Troop meets on Monday’s at 6:30 p.m. in the Boy Scout Room (Stillman Blvd. side of the Sanctuary). For more information, call Jeff Cull or Trace Neighbors (contact the church office if you need their contact info).

  • THE LORD'S SUPPER

    Hosted in the spring, first through fifth graders have the opportunity to participate in a class to learn more about the Lord’s Supper. Click here to learn more about this fun and educational class!

  • NURSERY

    FPC offers a nursery during both worship services (8:45 a.m. and 11 a.m.) as well as Sunday School. The nursery is open from 8:30 a.m. until the 11 a.m. worship service ends during the school year and from 9 a.m. until worship ends during the summer.
